Dr. Devgan, I just wanted to thank you for changing my life. The lasik was the greatest thing I have ever done and I really thank you for making it such a great experience. I felt at ease from beginning to end and will refer anyone I know to your office. It really is a life changing experience and I truly thank you and your staff for making it so amazing.

For the first few months of my life, I wouldn't move around much. My parents finally took me to the right doctor who realized that I was extremely nearsighted. I wore my first pair of glasses at the age of five months (about -5.00 in each eye). After that I was hell of wheels around the house. For almost 39 years, I've spent my entire waking life behind glasses. I had tried wearing contact lenses several times in my life, but due to severe allergies, I had never realized much success. By now, my vision had worsened to -17.000 and -15.50 with about a -2.50 astigmatism but had been consistent for many years. My lifelong eye doctor and friend, Charles Aronberg, M.D., and I talked every year at my check-ups about possible surgical alternatives. Until last year, however, the story was always the same. Forget about it. Dr. Aronberg, now shared an office with his lifelong friend, collegue, and UCLA Professor, Dr. John Hofbauer, M.D. And, Dr. Hofbauer knew well a former student who might have exactly what I was looking for...a surgical alternative that had a very low risk of retinal detachment and other complications. After almost two months of exhaustive research into the procedure and the doctors who performed it, I made the appointment to have Dr. Devgan perform the ICL surgery on both of my eyes on the same day. Within an hour after the surgery, I could see about 20/60. I got a pair of light interim glasses to wear for a month. Then, it was LASIK time, and within two months of beginning the procedures, I was able to see almost 20/20. Since then, more than a year later, my vision has remained consistently 20/20 to 20/25, and I only wear glasses for extensive computer work or reading. To this day, I still reach for my glasses when I wake up. There's nothing like waking up to crisp, clear vision! Thank you Dr. Devgan, Robert Blechman
